Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have all the necessary licenses and insurance?
Yes we do. Never work with any contractor who cannot provide proof of license and insurance. We will be glad to show proof to anyone who asks.
Do you provide references?
Yes. We are happy to provide you with as many references as you would like to contact. Simply contact us to get names and numbers and you can speak directly with those who know us best – our customers.
If I get multiple estimates, why shouldn’t I just choose the lowest price?
How you decide between contractors will of course be your decision. But we do advise you to look carefully at prices that seem too good to be true. They likely are just that. Inferior products and shoddy work will need to be replaced or fixed sooner and that will cost you money, time, and frustration.
Here are some recommendations for judging on more than price alone:
- Can the company provide references?
- How long has the company been in business?
- Do they have proper licenses and insurance?
- Do they have any complaints or bad reviews online?
- How experienced are their installers?
- What warranties are being offered and are they in writing?
What is included in your consultation and quote?
Our consultations are about educating you on your options. We come to your home to see the project space first hand. We are there to listen to what you want and answer all your questions. We then share our expertise and advise you on what we recommend.
One thing that is not included in our consultation and quote process is high pressure sales tactics. We don’t believe in them. If this occasionally costs us a sale, we are fine with that.
Once we are done, we will work up a quote. For most remodeling jobs, we will need some time to put together a finalized quote, but we can give you a ballpark number. If you like what you hear, we will then work up a detailed, firm quote.
What types of remodeling do you do?
If it is a remodel or addition, we can do it: Kitchen Remodels, Bathroom Remodels, Basement Remodels, and Additions. Whatever you want, give us a call at 720-593-1983 and we will schedule a consultation at your convenience.
Is remodeling stressful?
Remodeling does have a reputation for being stressful. Our philosophy is that it should be more exciting than stressful. Let us explain what we mean.
Remodeling does have a certain amount of “stress” built in. No matter how much you control the dust and noise (and we do our best), it is a part of the process. A remodel also means that part of your home will be inaccessible during the remodel. That is why we try to be as efficient as possible.
Despite some inevitable inconvenience, we think of remodeling as a fun opportunity. How many times do you get a chance to create a space in your home that it exactly what you want? We are here to help you bring that vision to life, adding our expertise to your enthusiasm.
The other key to keeping your remodel amazing instead of stressful is to select a contractor that keeps its promises. Like doing the job right the first time. Communicating every step of the way, with regular, consistent updates. And of course, sticking to the agreed upon quote.
How long will my remodel take to complete?
Remodeling projects vary too much in size and scope for us to give any kind of general answer to this question. But what we can tell you is that once we get a handle what you want for your remodel or addition, we can give you an accurate completion time.
Additionally, we lay out a schedule you can depend on. If you have heard nightmare stories of remodels that seem to last forever and contractors who disappear for days at a time, that is not how we operate. We give you a schedule and stick to it like professionals we are. In the rare cases, where a schedule needs to be adjusted, we will communicate it to you and work out the details to your satisfaction.
